-Video Game-Collage-Mixed Medium-Assemblage-Street Art (style)-
Architectural Model or Renderings-Performance Art-Other Media - What will your message be? Will you include text with your visual message (and if so, wht text will be appropriate for your artwork)? How will you practice?
- Will you work in color or value? What color palette will you choose?
- Create a list of questions that you have that you will need to answer during the process..
THE PROCESS...
- We will begin the unit by viewing a short slide presentation introduction, as well as reviewing this page for resources.
- You will first need to gain an understanding of the United Nations and it's role and look at the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. We will do this through an in class activity where we will brainstorm in response to the following question...: ‘What are the biggest problems faced by people in our community/ country /worldwide?” Remember to think like a president...when looking for the importance in the big picture of our planet.
- After looking at the goals, you will choose a goal that, through a series of tasks and a summative assessment. you will become an advocate for. (No more than two people should work on the same goal. You may work in pairs on the project, but must come up with a unique, original work of art that promotes our goal/issue.
- Once you've decided on the goal you would like to advocate for, we may create a new seating chart that corresponds with your partner, if applicable.
- You will then have several tasks given to you to complete relating to the issue/goal. Using the UN Sustaianble Development Goals Webpage, as well as outside sources (which you will need to site), you will document the informtion (and the entire process) in your process journal.
- You will design and create a work of art that advocates for your chosen goal and present it to the class, along with a slide presentation (or some other format of presentation).
